Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Longacre of Appomattox, I was enchanted by its rustic charm and tranquil setting. Surrounded by two acres of beautifully kept gardens, this bed and breakfast is a perfect retreat for city dwellers like me seeking a serene escape. The complimentary continental breakfast was a delightful start to our mornings, featuring fresh fruits and local pastries that offered a taste of southern hospitality, all while enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The rooms, with their tasteful decor and plush furnishings, provided all the comforts needed for a restful night. It was particularly enjoyable to unwind by the fireplace in the lobby after a long day of exploring the nearby American Civil War Museum. What impressed me most was the attentive service from Dana, who greeted us each morning with warmth that made us feel right at home. I can't wait to return for another stay at this hidden gem; it truly is a sanctuary for those looking to reconnect with nature and themselves.
